hyphen

WHAT IS [-]?

A hyphen simply refers to a short line [-] used to connect parts of a compound word or parts of a divided word.

This [-] does the same basic function. It CONNECTS you to government; takes your views into account in drafting or amending policy; makes the otherwise “unknown” you part of the policy process.

A hyphen may appear to be just another punctuation mark. But that short line called a hyphen is quite a significant one. It provides sense to an otherwise unintelligible set of syllables or meaning to an otherwise fragmented word.

This [-] too, does pretty much the same job. A policy is simply ineffective if it does not reflect public sentiment, does not respond to public opinion; or does not aim at public good.

This [-] helps you express your thoughts, provide your reaction, and put forward your expectations. This [-] though modest as it may look, helps you to directly influence policy; make yourself heard; and be part of the national decision making. And that counts… as upright individuals, responsible citizens, and well meaning friends.

So use the [-]. Get linked to the policy process. Help us do it better.
